In this address, Liz Remmerswaal, vice president of the global peace organisation World Beyond War and based in New Zealand, will explain what WBW is about, describe its programs, and give an assessment of the influence it is having. She will discuss recent WBW activities in New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific in support of the aims of the WBW organisation.

Against the background of continuing beating of the drums of war over Taiwan and China and the cascading breakdown of peaceful relations in the Middle East and in the Russia-Ukraine war, Liz will emphasise the urgent need to continue to focus on the cruelty and destructiveness of war and the need to support international agreement on action to preserve and enhance peace.
