Jane M. Hardy is a former Australian senior career diplomat. Over three decades, Jane served in seven Australian embassies in the Indo-Pacific region, the United States and Europe. Jane’s overseas diplomatic posts include as Australia’s Ambassador to Spain, Andorra and Equatorial Guinea, and as Consul-General in Honolulu. Jane is a published author and speaker on policy and strategic matters. She has worked in-depth on shaping regional architecture in Southeast Asia, on strategic issues affecting Northeast Asia, advising the Australian Government on the Australia-US relationship, and influencing outcomes in multilateral organisations.
Rosie Keane was appointed Consul General of Ireland to Sydney, with accreditation to the State of New South Wales in September 2021. Prior to joining the diplomatic corps, Rosie worked in the private sector and then the Irish Department of Finance, where she specialised in markets and securities regulation. She joined the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2016 as Deputy Director for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation. In 2017, Rosie was posted to the Irish Embassy in London, as Brexit Deputy Director.
John Lee has had an expansive career encompassing public service, academia and think tanks. Dr Lee is currently a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute in Washington DC. He has held adjunct professorships at Australian National University and Sydney University. From 2016-2018, he was the senior adviser to Foreign Minister Julie Bishop. In this role, he advised the Turnbull government on major changes to Australia’s approach to China and the region and was appointed the government’s lead adviser in producing the 2017 Foreign Policy White Paper. Dr Lee is also a non-resident senior fellow at the United States Studies Centre.
