Jennifer Mathews
National President at Australia Indonesia Business CJennifer Mathews, National President of the Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC), previously served as Chair of the AIBC’s Western Australia chapter. She has extensive experience in international investment and trade: she was Western Australia’s Commissioner for Indonesia from September 2017 to February 2021, Director-General of the WA Department of Local Government and Communities from 2008-2017and earlier State Manager of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, State Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and a diplomat in Indonesia and Thailand.
Jennifer has a Bachelor of Laws and Arts degree (majoring in Indonesian studies) from the University of Melbourne and is proficient in the Indonesian and Thai languages. She is also Deputy Chair of the national board of Economic Development Australia (EDA) and an active member of Chief Executive Women.
