Aim Sinpeng is a Senior Research Fellow in the Discipline of Government and International Relations at the University of Sydney. She is the author of an award-winning book, Opposing Democracy in the Digital Age: the Yellow Shirts in Thailand (University of Michigan Press, 2021). She researches and teaches at the intersection of tech and politics in Southeast Asia. Her current projects include her DECRA fellowship on cyber repression in Thailand and a Google-funded project on gender bias and AI in the APAC region.
